It’s hard to believe but we are only weeks away from the official start to the Dry and for those looking to build a new home the timing couldn’t be sweeter.
The Northern Territory Government recently announced a new home ownership package which will make the NT’s home ownership incentives the most generous and broadest in Australia, making it easier for people to own their dream home.
The Territory Home Owner package delivers a welcomed relief for Territorians and increased incentives for anyone building or buying a new home in the NT.
Key aspects of the package available until 7 May include:
- A generous construction grant of $20 000 to build a new NT home to live in (including Territorians who currently own a home), this offer is limited to the first 600 applicants.
- Up to $48,000 for a first home owner building or buying a new home to live in.
- A Territory Home Owner Discount on stamp duty of up to $18,601 for people buying or building a new home that they will live in.
But the good news doesn’t stop there, an additional $20,000 is available from the developer if your house slab is laid within 90 days of settling on your lot.
New homeowners in Northcrest Stage 1 also have the opportunity to receive a contribution towards Steeline Colourbond panel fencing, guttering and front landscaping if they choose to build their home with a builder featured in the Northcrest Display Village.
The Display Village builders have been selected for their quality construction, premium finishes and genuine understanding of the Territory way of life.
So, as we get ready for those Dry season evenings and outdoor lifestyle, give some thought to buying your first home or building a new one and consider Northcrest as an option for every stage of life, from first home buyer to retiree.
